THE END OF PRABHAKARAN IS NOT THE END

It is said that Prabhakaran is wounded and that there is an effort to take him to India for treatment. It is suggested here that he should not be allowed to be taken anywhere. There may be interested parties who may want to take him to UK for treatment as he is one of the blue eyed dictators of the western powers. However, when in difficulties the west has unceremoniously dumped their blue eyed dictators and Prabhakaran would not be an exception. Under such circumstances the west cultivates another dictator to lead a process that has always had their blessings. Thus even if Prabhakaran dies the LTTE would not die as there are murderers such as Pottu Amman who could be appointed to  lead this murderous outfit to achieve what the west wants.

The west will ditch the LTTE only if in their opinion that fascist gang would not achieve what the west is interested in achieving. The statements by various officers representing the western countries and organizations such as UNICEF indicate their thinking on the LTTE. So far the west has not given up hopes in the LTTE and would protect it under the responsibility to protect doctrine or some other doctrine that the so called Social scientists in the west would create.

Whether Prabhakaran is severely injured or not the aim of the armed forces should be to annihilate the LTTE . The armed forces have proved, contrary to the opinion expressed in the so called seminars and discourse that the LTTE cannot be defeated, that the LTTE is only a gang of cowards who would run away  at the sight of a determined brigade. The annihilation of the LTTE is the most important political solution to the problem first created by the Dutch and then by the English. The English not only continued from where  the Dutch ended, but nurtured so called Tamil nationalism that was in essence an anti Sinhala especially anti Sinhala Buddhist movement.

The peace vendors have created a movement called "prayathna" meaning attempts. This prayathna is nothing but an attempt to topple the government to coincide with the budget operation led by Blakes and Chilcotts The prayathna is obviously not financed by its organizers and its funds are from the usual NGO sources. The NGOs whether good or bad are instruments of western Christian modernity and its resultant colonialism, and to a certain extent performs the functions of the Churches established in the previous centuries. The so called good NGOs are there only to cover up the work of the other NGOs that are inherently bad.

There is an opinion among the educated Sinhalas to complain to the UNO against some of the speeches by some diplomats and high ranking officials of the organizations such as UNICEF. I happen to be an uneducated rustic and I find it difficult to understand why the educated are so much interested in complaining to outside organizations. I have never been employed by any of the UN organizations and neither have I searched employment in these organizations, and I must say that I do not have any faith in these organizations. They are in the final analysis organizations of the western powers though countries such as China have been given the opportunity to have very limited participation being members of the security council. The Presidents and Prime Ministers from the so called developing countries may get the opportunity of going to UN on an annual pilgrimage and have photo sessions with the President of USA and leaders of other western countries but it is well known it is not these poor relations who call the tune at the annual sessions.

Complaining to the UNO against the statements by diplomats such as Chilcott who in any case is going to some place in USA where he may not get the publicity that he received in Sri Lanka, as he would become nobody after having being somebody in Colombo, from somebody to nobody, a good topic for a third rate social scientist to write a book, describing certain events under the pretext of analyzing events, is nothing but a classic case of "horage ammagen pena eheemak" asking for justice from the mother of the thief. Those who have some connection with the UNO may not agree with the above, but if they reflect on what they have achieved, they would realize that they have been mere servants of the organization, albeit highly paid with what are usually referred to as UN salaries.

In any event with or without Prabhakaran, annihilating the LTTE is the foremost political solution to a problem that the westerners have created and nurtured. We have aired this view on other occasions as well, and any other so called political solution has to be sought only after completely defeating the LTTE. If some leaders of Marxist parties who cannot win a single electorate either on the district basis or electorate basis and either on first past the post system or preferential system think of introducing their federal solutions through the APRC then they are only fooling themselves. The final solution introduced only after defeating the LTTE completely, should be a unitary state not in words but in deed. There are some members of political parties and media people who are anti Sinhala Buddhist who think that they could introduce the word unitary and then define it in such a way to mean a federal state. We have to tell these people both on the right and the left of the political spectrum, that the ordinary Sinhala people may not be educated as them but the latter have a political intuition to understand what is happening.

The end of Prabhakaran is not the end of the problem. In the end we should have as the solution a unitary state with power devolved to the provinces for development of the country, as in the case of the ancient "eksesath rajya", not so much as to solve a so called ethnic problem, as there is no such problem. The MEP has always taken up the position that it is for devolution of power in respect of development of the country and it is on record in the proceedings of the APRC. It has to be stated that the MEP is not bound by decisions taken at APRC meetings in the absence of a representative of the party, and parties with only nominated MPs will not be allowed to dictate terms. It has to be also stated that there is no position as the Chairman of the APRC, as the committee could have elected chairmen on a rotating basis at its meetings. Thus the Chairman of the APRC is only a position created by some media and parties with vested interests and the MEP is not bound by statements of "the chairman of the APRC" how honourable he may be to both Marxists and Liberals. Weather Prabhakaran is injured or not his end is near, and the solution to the problem has to be found only after going to its roots.
